| Chanel Fall 2011 |
Everyone always talks about how one of their favorite things about Fall is wearing boots. And honestly, that never used to excite me. It might seem to you like “hello,” you’re a few season’s behind lady. But one thing that people don’t always understand about me as a fashion blogger is that just because I know what’s trendy, “in,” or on the runway, doesn’t mean that I:
a. like it
b. would wear it
c. could afford it
This season however, I’m beyond ecstatic about buying and wearing boots! This might be because the popular boots of latter season’s have been super high with skinny heels- which means I won’t wear it. I do have a two year old that I have to chase. often. in grocery stores. and stuff. And I really don’t want to be that over-dressed, looks like she’s trying to hard, mom out there who can’t lift up her own kid because of what she’s wearing (erm, see Victoria Beckham here).
I now have two very specific reasons for my excitement. They are- wedge booties and flat boots. I’ve been wanting to try a feminine look with tough motorcycle boots for a while now. My only setback was the fact that I didn’t own any. But I’m going to change that. See those Chanel moto boots up there? Yea, well that’ll never happen. But see those Target ones down there? Much more likely to happen..

Boots with all manners of fur are great for keeping your feet warm and on trend, but I’m just not as excited about them as I am about the others. I really like these buckles on this Pierre Hardy pair, though.

What boot are you most excited to start wearing once it gets cold enough? And I hope you all are having a super fun weekend! I’m not doing anything special, just packing for NY! And leaving tomorrow (InshaAllah). Wish me luck, and keep me in your dua’a!
