Abayas are one the items of clothing that I absolutely love, but don’t have many of. Wait, let me amend that to “gorgeous abayas” are something I don’t have enough of. I love wearing them and they always make me feel so elegant, not to mention modest! Boutique Al Khaleejia (one of my most amazing advertisers) recently sent me this abaya. It’s similar to the DAS Collection Spring 2011 Coral abaya.
Boutique Al Khaleejia sells a huge range of gorgeous abayas from the Arabian Gulf. I chose this Ruffle Chiffon Abaya in particular for the elegant drapey cut, and the sparkly stone belt. I love the way it looks, with the pink peaking out of the black. The black fabric is something called ‘nidah’ while the coral fabric is french chiffon. The whole thing is surprisingly light, not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. You can actually customize the color of the front panel, and order the length that fits you best. I wasn’t sure which size to order but they were extremely helpful and it fits really well. It actually has a hidden belt inside so that you can tighten only the front panel, while the back stays loose and flowy- genius!
This abaya is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever owned. It’s beautifully made, and it got shipped to me quickly, even though they had to tailor the length. I definitely recommend buying your authentically Khaleeji items from Boutique Al Khaleejia.
The selection of items they carry is huge. I mean, I kind of wish they were a brick and mortar store so I could literally go there and sleep amongst all the gorgeousness. (Sorry, is that weird?) They also create custom designs if that’s something you’re interested in.
