I’m sure you’ve seen the hi-low, or “mullet” skirt trend out there. I personally like to call it a mullet skirt- I mean, really, why wouldn’t you want to call it that? Party, business and all that. SO how do you actually wear one if you’re trying to keep your legs covered completely? I have two absolute favorite ways to wear them, that actually look classy and cute.
The first is to wear a pair of pants under the skirt. Now this can be difficult to pull off, because you’ve got to have the right fit of pant. I love a good slim cut pant that stops right below the ankle. Not tight and not baggy. (That being said, you can wear a wide leg pant, or a skinny or a whatever the heck you want pant- after all, they’re your legs, it’s up to you.) Below are a few pieces that’ll look good paired together.
Wear either of these pants under this skirt black skirt. The floral pant really makes a bold statement, and the red pair will still make a statement, just a slightly quieter one. Either of these under the black skirt would look good- you’re not trying to hide the fact that you’re wearing pants under a skirt, so might as well go bright, right?

The second way to wear it, and it looks so elegant, is actually to wear another skirt underneath your hi-low skirt. A sleek, not flouncy, silhouette as the base works best if you’re going for the under-skirt option. As for the hi-low skirt you wear over it, any shape works fine!
