Let’s Party Like It’s 2013!

Remember that song? Let’s party like it’s 1999..and doesn’t 2013 sound like a fake year made for a movie?
Well Happy New Year! I hope InshaAllah this year bring peace and happiness around the world. That would be nice, wouldn’t it?

I’ve been visiting my parents during the holiday break, spending time catching up with family and friends, and enjoying the blustery cold weather and blizzards up here.
We’ve got some fun stuff coming up here on Haute Muslimah! A giveaway from Crazy&Co, a really delicious Texas brisket recipe, a fitness post, a review of a gorgeous Covered Girl scarf, and a really warm hat from YAK Apparel (and maybe another giveaway too)!

I hope you guys are all doing well! One of my blogging goals this year is to try to post here on Haute Muslimah more regularly. What are some of your goals for 2013?

    Asalaamu’alaikum! I was wondering if you had any suggestions for affordable (yet chic) websites that sell abayahs/kaftans/”Muslimized” dresses (e.g. dresses with long sleeves)? JazakAllah khair and happy new year :)

      Abaya Addict is really popular with a great selection.
      Modern Mary is also a favorite of mine. Haute Hijab and Hijab-ist are also great!

    I definitely want to post more on my own blog this year, and try to be more ‘present’ in my day to day life. Even if that means putting down the iphone and turning off the tv once in a while to play with my baby without distraction, that’s what i want to do more of – among a few other things!
