Top 4 Best Dressed | Golden Globes

I have to say I wasn’t completely bowled over by the fashion at the Golden Globes this year. I’m so over the pouffy satiny, silky looking dresses, like the one worn by Zooey Deschanel, (who’s outfits I usually adore). Although Jennifer Lawrence’s dress was sort of great. Completely and utterly in LOVE with Amy Poehler’s tux. I mean. She looks in-freaking-credible. I don’t know, I’m a huge fan of a relaxed, menswear look amongst all the glitz and glamour.  And Kate Hudson’s Alexander McQueen dress screams fashion. I love how sleek and almost minimal it is.

Julianne Hough in Monique Lhuillier was just dreamy. Nicole Richie in her Naeem Khan is perfection. I love a body-skimming long sleeve, long length gown like this one.

Now onto the ones I really didn’t like very much…

And I don’t love to bash on the dresses I hated, but  Taylor Swift in DKNY? Ugh no. Anne Hathaway’s? Seen it, done it. Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry- we know you have rockin’ bodies but they don’t always have to be on display. knowamean?

Now I know you all don’t agree with me on every thing, so please, tell me, who would make up your top 4 and bottom 2?

    OK my favorite 4 were Naomi Watts…gorgeous!, Kate Hudson, Clair Danes (absolutely loved the red!!), and Julliane Hough (loved the white). The ones that I thought were plain boring or ugly were Taylor swift’s dress (sooooo boring and it made her look big, not flattering at all) and Debra Messing (what was she thinking??). There is a bunch of other ones. I like Kaley Cuoco dress but her lipstick was soo weird..and I loved nicole richie’s dress but her hair was not flattering so I felt like her whole look was off. I’m done criticizing. But I agree the fashion this award show was pretty boring….oh wait also jennifer lawrence’s dress…I don’t understand it? Was it too small, like I didn’t like how it looked at the hips..it made her look bigger than she is and she has a gorgeous body…confused.

      I didn’t love Claire Danes’ dress, but the others, spot on, totally agree.
      But Nicole Richie, I thought she looked all around fantastic even with the hair!
      And I’m kind of shocked at how ill fitting Taylor Swift’s dress was!
      As for Jennifer Lawrence, I agree, made her hips look awkward, but I can kind of understand the whole “high fashion” look..

    I completely agree with your analysis! I was so not impressed with the dresses… I didn’t care for Jennifer Lawrence’s dress, looked a little rumpled, and like sakina said, didn’t look like it fit right… I loved Katharine Mcphee’s dress! Was simple and she looked amazing.

    Ditto on JLo and Halle Berry, showing a ton of skin does NOT equal looking good, people! Nicole Richie is completely covered up and the dress is GORGE.

        Oh, and I hate how celebrities try to stay relevant by showing skin.. I mean, look at how many younger celebs were totally covered, like Nicole Richie. Ugh, it’s not a good look for JLo and Halle..

    I absolutely love the black and gold combination of Kate Hudson! But what did you think of Jodie Fosters speech? I thought the best speech in a long time, especially her thanking her mom. Beautiful!

    I love the dress of Kate Hudson, really awesome, and a big NO for what Taylor wore, it makes her look older!
