The Row, one of the many brainchilds (brainchildren?) of the Olsens is always a show I look forward to during fashion week. Sort of bohemian, sort of woman of the world, sort of what the crap. Just like the Olsens themselves, right? About this collection, the fashion part of me wants to say, I love it I love it! But the real part of me is saying what the hell is that? Just kidding. Kind of. I do love that there are so many pieces I’d actually wear and/or appreciate on others. I must admit that Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are doing something different- sometimes fashion in all it’s pastel short shorts can get kind of boring. I’m really digging the long, the layers, and that caftan (jalabiya) in their spring collection.
There’s a black knit dropped peplum look that’s sort of cool until your eyes scroll down and you notice it’s unraveling.. buy hey, that’s fashion baby! All worn with old lady loafers. I sort of love that fashion and comfort are not mutually exclusive… for this season at least.
All the photos I’ve chosen to feature are ones I’m drooling over.. even that unraveling sweater if you can believe it! The thing I love about the Olsens is that they almost give me the liberty to dress creatively and perhaps even oddly and still have the right to call it fashion. Or style. Or whatever I want.
